Team Grenadier bids for British Army Light Mobility Vehicle contract
Team Grenadier has entered the Grenadier Enhanced Protection Vehicle (EPV) into the British Army’s Light Mobility Vehicle (LMV) competition. The program, which has a budget of up to £2 billion, aims to replace aging Land Rover and Pinzgauer fleets.
The EPV is an armored version of the INEOS Grenadier, featuring a purpose-built steel cabin engineered to meet NATO STANAG 2 standards for blast and ballistic protection. Unlike vehicles that use bolt-on armor, the EPV’s integrated structure is designed to distribute forces more effectively. The vehicle is intended for client and VIP protection roles rather than direct front-line combat.
Team Grenadier has expanded its consortium to include Hobson Industries and TVS Supply Chain Solutions, joining existing partners SMT Defence and NMS UK. These partners will provide expertise in vehicle refitting, fleet support, spare parts management, and global supply chain logistics. While the base Grenadier platform is manufactured in France, the armored cabins and specialized upgrades are handled in the United Kingdom.
