Team Ireland secures multiple medals at European Athletics Championships

Team Ireland achieved significant success at the 2026 European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. The nation secured multiple medals, highlighted by gold finishes from Kate O’Connor in the women’s heptathlon and Mark English in the men’s 800m.

Other notable performances included a silver medal for Rhasidat Adeleke in the women’s 200m and a bronze medal for Andrew Coscoran in the men’s 1500m. In the 1500m discipline, Sophie O’Sullivan and Sarah Healy both qualified for the final.
