Team Lynx wins STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore

Six Saudi Arabian high school students from Team Lynx won the 2026 STEM Racing World Finals held in Singapore. The competition, which took place during the week of the Singapore Grand Prix, involved 91 student teams representing 36 different countries.

Participants in the engineering competition design and build miniature cars propelled by CO2 cartridges. These vehicles are raced along a 20-meter track at speeds reaching up to 70 kilometers per hour. The process requires students to use professional CAD software for design and CNC tools for manufacturing, testing their knowledge of aerodynamics and technical precision.

Beyond technical construction, teams are judged on branding, sponsorship plans, and presentation skills. The competition serves as a developmental pathway for future motorsport professionals; past participants have successfully transitioned into engineering roles at organizations such as Red Bull Ford Powertrains and Aston Martin.
