Team Mitsubishi Ralliart wins AXCR 2026 with historic Japanese victory

Katsuhiko Taguchi and Takahiro Yasui of Team Mitsubishi Ralliart achieved the first overall victory by a Japanese pair in the history of the Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) 2026. The duo secured the win on the final leg of the competition held on August 15, maintaining a narrow lead to finish just 2 minutes and 25 seconds ahead of their closest rival.

With this victory, Team Mitsubishi Ralliart successfully defended its title, marking two consecutive wins for the team. All three Mitsubishi Triton vehicles entered in the rally successfully completed the course. Driver Katsuhiko Taguchi attributed the success to the reliability and improved handling of the Triton vehicle.
