Team Oiense Women race in León and Siero as Spain's top women's cycling events unfold

Team Oiense Women will contest two back‑to‑back races this weekend in Spain. On Saturday they start the III Gran Premio Ayuntamiento de León, an 86‑km circuit around León that includes the short, steep Alto de Castrillino. The squad will field five riders, three of whom – Noemí Couselo, Ana Hernández and Vanesa Hernández – make their debut for the team.

On Sunday the same riders travel to Siero for the V Trofeo Ayuntamiento de Siero, a 75‑km race that also serves as the Campeonato de Asturias de Femenino. The event draws 33 teams and more than 250 participants, with separate courses for cadet (40 km) and elite (75 km) categories and a decisive climb to Muncó. Organisers highlighted the growing prestige of the race and the community support provided by volunteers from the Escuela de Ciclismo Viella.
