Team Pieri to race in two Tuscany events this weekend

Italian cycling squad Team Pieri will contest two races in Tuscany over Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday the team will ride in a national‑level race in the Garfagnana region, fielding a five‑rider lineup of Pierini, Muricci, Papi, Bondi and Lacerda. Sunday’s event is the traditional Memorial Maionchi in the province of Pistoia, where a larger squad of Pierini, Muricci, Papi, Bondi, Lacerda, Squillace, Mariotti, Baccilli, Lauretti and others will start.

Both outings are directed by the experienced technical trio of Fioravanti, Baccanelli and Giannotti, under the patronage of former cyclist Piero Pieri. The team’s recent continuity and tactical development are aimed at strengthening its presence on the Italian racing calendar.
