Team Saskatchewan advances to semifinals at 19U Women’s Baseball Nationals

The undefeated Team Saskatchewan women's baseball squad secured a spot in the semifinals of the 19U National Championships in Saskatoon after a dominant 11-2 victory over Newfoundland and Labrador at Cairns Field. The win gave Saskatchewan a perfect 3‑0 record in pool play and a ticket to face Ontario in the Sunday semifinal, with the winner moving on to the gold‑medal game against either Quebec or Alberta.

Key contributors included Braidy Birdsall, who went 2‑for‑3 with three runs and three RBIs, and pitcher Paetyn Lenius, who closed the game with two flawless innings. Camden Suchan earned the win on the mound, allowing just one run over five innings.

The semifinal will determine whether Saskatchewan competes for the gold or bronze medal on Sunday evening.
