Team USA wins third consecutive U20 World Wrestling Championship

Team USA secured its third consecutive team championship at the 2026 U20 World Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia. The American squad achieved a perfect 10-for-10 podium run in the final men's freestyle weight classes, earning four gold, three silver, and three bronze medals.

Michael Boyle claimed the 97-kilogram gold medal with a 12-2 technical superiority victory over Russia's Rodion Sanakoev. Boyle demonstrated dominance throughout the tournament, recording technical superiorities over opponents from Kazakhstan and Japan, as well as a semifinal pin against a wrestler from Belarus.

Other notable American performances included silver medals for Jayden James in the 74-kilogram division and Dreshaun Ross in the 125-kilogram division. Landon Robideau also contributed to the medal tally in the 70-kilogram class.
