Team Vitality exits French League of Legends LFL

Team Vitality has announced the closure of its academy team, Vitality. Bee, ending its nine-year presence in the Ligue Française de League of Legends (LFL). The decision follows the recent departure of Ici Japon Corp Esport and follows the previous exit of Joblife's League of Legends division.

Vitality CEO Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide cited uncertainty regarding the league's future as a primary driver for the move. Following Webedia's announcement that it will stop organizing the LFL after 2026, the league's leadership for 2027 remains unconfirmed. Devide noted that the organization needs to wait for the ecosystem to evolve into a more satisfactory state before reinvesting.

Financial considerations also played a role, with Devide stating the club must make trade-offs to prioritize investment in the LEC, where a more established roadmap exists. Reports indicate that approximately half of the teams from the 2026 Summer Split are not expected to return to the LFL in 2027.
