Team17 announces two new Worms games for 2027

Team17 has announced that two new titles in the iconic Worms franchise are currently in development for a 2027 release. Both games are being produced by Absolutely Games, the studio behind Classified: France '44.

One of the upcoming titles is titled ‘Worms: Galactic Tactics’. This game introduces a new direction for the series, featuring a roguelike mechanic set within the ‘Galactic Gauntlet’, an intergalactic competition led by Emperor Flugg. Players will command teams of three worms in three-dimensional destructible arenas, utilizing turn-based strategy and customizable weapon upgrades.

In addition to this new direction, Team17 confirmed that a new classic Worms game is also in development to cater to nostalgic fans of the original series.
