Team8 raises $365 million for AI-native and cybersecurity investments
Team8, an Israeli venture firm specializing in cybersecurity and emerging technologies, has raised $365 million in new capital. This brings the firm’s total assets under management to nearly $2 billion across eight funds.
The new funding includes $265 million for the third Team8 Capital fund and over $100 million reserved for follow-on investments in high-conviction portfolio companies. The third fund will target Seed and Series A companies in sectors including cybersecurity, software infrastructure, fintech, and digital health, with a specific focus on AI-native businesses.
As enterprises accelerate the deployment of AI systems and agents, Team8 aims to invest in technologies addressing critical needs such as AI infrastructure, orchestration, identity, data, and security. The firm noted a significant gap in security confidence among executives; a survey of 111 security leaders found that while 80% are running AI agents in production, confidence in securing these systems averaged only 2.32 out of 5.
Team8 utilizes a venture creation model to co-found and support startups. Previous successful exits include Talon, Dig, and Koi Security, the latter of which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks.
