Teatro alla Scala launches free streaming platform

Teatro alla Scala in Milan has transitioned its LaScalaTV streaming platform to a free model. As of September 1, the digital catalog, which includes over thirty titles, is accessible to the public without a subscription fee, though users are required to register.

This strategic shift, supported by Intesa Sanpaolo, aims to expand the reach of the institution's artistic heritage and facilitate universal access to its productions. The platform utilizes remote cameras at the Teatro Piermarini to broadcast live operas, ballets, and concerts, which are later archived for on-demand viewing.
