Teatro Bancários RS opens in Porto Alegre

The Teatro Bancários RS was officially inaugurated in Porto Alegre on September 23. The new cultural space is intended to serve as a venue for music, theater, dance, and social debate, aiming to promote culture as a tool for social transformation and resistance.

The opening ceremony featured performances by musician Vitor Ramil and Uruguayan singer Daniel Drexler. The event was attended by union leaders, artists, and former Minister of Culture Ana de Hollanda, who noted the significant transformation of the site into a complete theater facility.

During the festivities, Vitor Ramil discussed his musical trajectory, the concept of ‘Ramilonga’, and the importance of cultural sovereignty. He also addressed the current political landscape, urging citizens to prioritize long-term national interests.
