Teatro Barakaldo reopens main hall after renovation
Teatro Barakaldo in Spain is reopening its main hall this Friday following a six-month renovation project costing 1.4 million euros. The upgrades include new seating throughout the auditorium and amphitheater, a new climate control system, and enhanced accessibility features.
To improve inclusivity, the theater has installed a magnetic loop system for hearing aid and cochlear implant users, sound amplification for those with partial hearing loss, subtitling screens for the deaf, and adapted spaces for individuals with reduced mobility. The reopening program features the Barakaldo Municipal Band and a production from the Centro Dramático Nacional.
