Teatro Carlo Felice opens 2026–27 symphony season in Genoa

The Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa launched its 2026–27 symphony season with an opening concert featuring the Orchestra della Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova. Conducted by Jordi Bernàcer, the program included Rossini’s overture to ‘La scala di seta’ and Berlioz’s ‘Symphonie fantastique’.

A highlight of the evening was the performance of Niccolò Paganini’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in B minor, ‘La campanella’, by American violinist Kevin Zhu. Zhu, the 2018 winner of the Premio Paganini, was noted for combining technical brilliance with lyrical expression during the performance.
