Teatro Carlo Felice to open new season with Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro

The Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa is set to inaugurate its 2026/2027 artistic season on Friday, October 16, with a production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s masterpiece, Le nozze di Figaro. The production features a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte and will be directed by Emilio Sagi, with musical direction by Jordi Bernàcer and the Teatro Carlo Felice Orchestra.

The opening marks the beginning of a new cycle titled ‘Approdi’. The event is expected to draw high-level institutional figures, sponsors, and a new group of supporters known as ‘Custodi del faro’. The performance will be broadcast in delayed format on Rai Radio3.

In a notable move toward community engagement, 300 high school students have independently subscribed to the upcoming season. Additionally, students from the Niccolò Paganini Conservatory will provide 45-minute introductions to the performances.
