Teatro Colón premieres Borges-inspired ballet
The Teatro Colón is premiering ‘Principio de éxtasis’, a ballet inspired by Jorge Luis Borges’ work ‘El Aleph’. Directed by Julio Bocca, the production features choreography by Goyo Montero and an original score by Gustavo Santaolalla.
The performance, presented by the Ballet Estable, runs until September 20. The production includes a voice-over by actor Ricardo Darín, who reads fragments of Borges’ poetry. The ballet is structured in two acts, offering an abstract interpretation of the literary universe through a collaboration of various artistic disciplines.
