Teatro Colón to stream 'Principio de Éxtasis' ballet live

The Ballet Estable del Teatro Colón will broadcast the final performance of the contemporary ballet “Principio de Éxtasis” live and free of charge on Sunday, September 20, at 17:00. The production, under the artistic direction of Julio Bocca, is inspired by the literary works of Jorge Luis Borges, specifically drawing from “El Aleph” and the poem “Ausencia.”

Choreographer Goyo Montero designed the production to explore Borgian themes such as labyrinths, circularity, and cyclical time. The performance features original music by Gustavo Santaolalla, with additional music and sound design by Owen Belton. The production also includes a voice-over by Ricardo Darín.

Global audiences can access the stream via the official Teatro Colón website and its social media channels on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. The closing performance features principal dancers Facundo Luqui, Lola Múgica, Juan Pablo Ledo, Nicolas Da Silva, Jiva Velázquez, and José Ángel Borges, alongside the full Ballet Estable ensemble.
