Teatro de la Reforma to host Third National Rondalla Festival

The Third National Rondalla Festival, ‘Serenata frente al mar’, will take place on Saturday, August 29, at 16:00 in the main hall of the Teatro de la Reforma in Veracruz. The event is free to the public.

Organized by the Veracruz Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Association of National Rondalla Contest Organizers, the Universidad Veracruzana, and the Amor y Amistad National Festival Committee, the festival aims to preserve the cultural tradition of rondalla music. Approximately 16 musical groups from Coatepec, Xalapa, Veracruz, and Puebla will perform a repertoire of romantic hits featuring string instruments and vocal harmonies. Notable participants include the Rondalla San Martín de Xalapa, directed by Samael Corona del Ángel, with the event hosted by Miguel Cruz Bautista.
