Teatro de Rojas Awards honor Ignacio del Moral in Toledo

The XXXIV edition of the Teatro de Rojas Awards in Toledo recently honored excellence in the performing arts. During the ceremony, Eurocaja Rural president Javier López Martín presented the award for ‘Best Spanish Author Text’ to Ignacio del Moral. The award was given for ‘Los Lunes al Sol’, a play adapted by Ignacio del Moral and Javier Hernández Simón, based on the work of Fernando León de Aranoa.

The gala featured presentations by actors Nancho Novo and Antea Rodríguez, along with a performance by the Yllana company. The event was attended by various local authorities, including the Mayor of Toledo, Carlos Velázquez.

Eurocaja Rural has been a collaborator with the Teatro de Rojas since 2014. Following a renewal of their partnership in June 2024, the entity’s support for the cultural institution is secured through 2026, aiming to increase accessibility to theater, opera, dance, and cinema for the community.
