Teatro di Documenti announces 2026–2027 season

Teatro di Documenti has announced its 2026–2027 season, titled ‘XS x XL’. Despite limited capacity and staff, the theater plans an extensive program featuring 40 shows, including a festival, a review, and two training programs.

The season includes international collaborations with Switzerland’s Teatro Paravento and various Chinese entities. Notably, the theater will host the first performance of an original Chinese prose work in Rome, ‘Il Circo di Torino’, a co-production involving the Shanghai Theatre Academy and Black Goat Studio featuring artists under the age of 25.

In 2027, the theater will commemorate the 20th anniversary of its creator, Luciano Damiani, with a new publication and the inaugural Luciano Damiani Dramaturgy Prize. The season opens with the dance performance ‘Dance my hunger’ and Cecilia Lavatore’s solo performance ‘Amori e no’.
