Teatro Eliseo reopens after six-year closure

Teatro Eliseo is set to reopen after a six-year closure, with its Piccolo Eliseo hall resuming activities on October 2 and the main hall following on October 28. Under the artistic direction of Alessandro Longobardi, the theater will offer a program spanning classical prose, new dramaturgy, music, and international projects.

The upcoming 2026/2027 season features diverse offerings across two spaces: the 700-seat main hall for large-scale productions and the 250-seat Piccolo for contemporary works. One of the inaugural performances at the Piccolo is Lucia Calamaro’s ‘Turbati come siamo, pallidi di preoccupazioni’, which explores themes of economic precariousness and social anxiety.
