Teatro Eliseo reopens in Rome after six years

The Teatro Eliseo and Piccolo Eliseo in Rome are reopening after six years of inactivity. The Piccolo Eliseo resumed activities on October 2 with the production ‘Turbati come siamo, pallidi di preoccupazioni’ by Lucia Calamaro. The main hall is scheduled to officially debut its new season on October 28, marked by the production ‘Dylan Dog – Horror Show’.

The 2026/27 season, directed by Alessandro Longobardi, will be managed by Viola Produzioni. The programming includes prose, contemporary theatre, music, and international productions across the two venues, which offer a combined capacity of 950 seats. The reopening is part of a broader municipal effort to support cultural spaces in the capital.
