Teatro Olimpico announces new season in Rome

The Teatro Olimpico in Rome is launching its new season starting September 24, featuring a diverse program of over 50 shows across 16 different titles. The upcoming schedule includes comedy, satire, dance, and acrobatics.

Artistic director Lucia Bocca Montefoschi noted that the venue serves as a regular home for many returning companies. Returning performers include Lillo e Greg, Riccardo Rossi, Dado, the PanPers, and Chiara Francini, who will perform “Coppia Aperta Quasi Spalancata,” a tragicomic play by Dario Fo and Franca Rame.

New additions to the lineup include Alessandro Cattelan, Maccio Capatonda, Angelo Pintus, and Alessandro Bergonzoni. The season also features a strong dance component through a collaboration with the Accademia Filarmonica Romana, including performances by Momix and the Compagnia Finzi Pasca.
