Teatro Out Off to host Shakespearean musical production in Milan

Teatro Out Off in Milan will host the production ‘Quel che amore in silenzio ha scritto’ from September 16 to 19, 2026. Written and directed by Andrea Piazza, the performance features actors and musicians Greta Petronillo and Enrico Brusi.

The show explores the history of love poetry, bridging the gap between the 17th century and contemporary pop and rock music. It utilizes the sonnets of William Shakespeare—addressing mysteries such as the identity of ‘Mr. W. H.’ and the ‘Fair Youth’—transforming them into monologues, dialogues, and songs. The production aims to create a ‘poetic concert’ that blends classical literature with modern musical genres, including lieder, ballads, and contemporary hits.
