Teatro Palais Concert restoration nears November completion

The restoration of the historic Teatro Palais Concert is progressing toward a scheduled delivery in November. The project has reached an 86.31% physical completion rate.

Key upgrades to the venue include the installation of 270 seats and a custom sound system designed specifically for the building's acoustics. The restoration also involves work on ancient frescoes and an acoustic engineering study to protect the heritage elements of the structure.

Rolando Barrientos, the departmental Secretary of Culture and Tourism, stated that working groups will be established with local artists and managers to define the theater's usage regulations and its annual cultural agenda. The project is funded through a combination of the Special Projects Unit (UPRE) and the Departmental Government.
