Teatro Pirandello board resigns citing lack of municipal support

The Board of Directors of the Fondazione Teatro Pirandello has announced its early resignation, citing a lack of cooperation from the new municipal administration in Agrigento. Board members Alessandro Patti, Pino Miccichè, and Gaetano Airò stated that despite attempts to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the theater's operational continuity, they received no substantive response from Mayor Michele Sodano.

The resigning members highlighted specific difficulties, including the absence of a press officer since July 1 and the inability to move forward with promotional campaigns for the upcoming season. While the board had already prepared much of the 2026-2027 programming, the lack of institutional dialogue led to the decision to freeze public notices for managing the final portion of their mandate.
