Teatro Real and Cine Yelmo partner for live opera broadcasts

Cine Yelmo and Teatro Real have announced a partnership to broadcast four live opera productions from the 2026-2027 season across 26 cinemas in Spain. This marks the first time an entire Teatro Real season will be available for live viewing in movie theaters through the +Que Cine program.

The broadcast schedule includes Giacomo Puccini’s ‘Manon Lescaut’ on October 8, Giuseppe Verdi’s ‘Simon Boccanegra’ on January 8, Vincenzo Bellini’s ‘Norma’ on April 22, and Richard Wagner’s ‘Tannhäuser’ on June 3. The screenings will feature specialized audiovisual production to capture the stage performance in real time, supplemented by exclusive behind-the-scenes content during intermissions.
