Teatro Regional del Maule launches folk night festival and invites musicians for 2026 Music Gala

The Teatro Regional del Maule (TRM) hosted the two‑day Noches del Folclor festival on 17‑18 July. The program featured the Ballet Folclórico Regional del Maule, Alturas de Longaví, singer‑songwriter Jorge Yáñez, Raudales, Voces Vilchanas and Los Piolas del Lote, showcasing traditional Chilean folk music, dance and poetry. Yáñez said, “El folclor es mucho más que las canciones que nosotros interpretamos… tiene que ver con las costumbres, con la tradición y con un alma cultural.”

In parallel, the TRM, together with the Secretaría Regional Ministerial of Cultures, Arts and Heritage of Maule and the Teatro Municipal de Constitución, issued a call for submissions to the Gala Regional del Día de la Música 2026. Eight projects (four soloists and four groups) will be selected to perform alongside the Orquesta Clásica del Maule on 2 October 2026. Applicants must be over 18, reside in the Maule region and submit their proposals by 28 July 2026.
