Teatro Sociale di Como announces new season and foyer restoration

The Teatro Sociale di Como is preparing for its 2026/27 season, with ticket sales beginning on September 5. The upcoming programming includes a diverse range of opera, musical, dance, and concerts. Notable highlights include a performance by Vinicio Capossela titled ‘E Morte non avrà dominio’ and a production dedicated to Alessandro Volta titled ‘VOLT Non esiste progresso senza curiosità’.

In preparation for the new season, which begins on September 24, the theatre's foyer is undergoing a €120,000 restoration project. Funded by the Società dei Palchettisti with a €20,000 contribution from Fondazione Comasca, the renovation aims to repair damage caused by time and ground subsidence. The project includes restoring walls to their original delicate green color using lime techniques, repairing woodwork, and updating the lighting system to return the space to its original splendor.
