Teatro TotalEnergies hosts reading of Al Smith drama

Teatro TotalEnergies in Rio de Janeiro will host a dramatized reading of ‘Harrogate’, a psychological drama by English author Al Smith. Directed by Alexandre Mello, the free presentation features actors Emily Matte and Rick Yates, who portray four characters in a story centered on family relationships and emotional tension.

The narrative takes place in a middle-class London apartment and follows an insurance executive through three successive encounters. The production is part of the ‘Dramaturgia em Leituras’ project, with a full stage premiere planned for 2027 in Rio de Janeiro.
