Teatro Verdi hosts musical tribute to Andrea Tacchi

The Teatro Verdi in Florence will host a day of music on September 26 to commemorate Andrea Tacchi, the historic first violin of the Orchestra della Toscana (ORT), marking ten years since his passing.

Organized by the ORT Foundation, the event “Caro Andrea, dieci anni dopo” aims to serve as a gathering for multiple generations of musicians, including former and current ORT members, students, and friends. The program includes an open rehearsal for the public starting at 11:30, followed by chamber music, ensembles, choirs, and a large orchestra. Musical works by Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, Shostakovich, Villa-Lobos, Tchaikovsky, and Rossini will be performed.
