Teatro Vittoria hosts Stefano Reali's play on propaganda
The Teatro Vittoria in Rome will host the production ‘Cervantes a Gaza – Passando per Shakespeare’ on October 27 and 28. Written and directed by Stefano Reali, the play explores four centuries of propaganda and the manipulation of truth by governments.
The performance draws parallels between the historical experiences of Miguel de Cervantes—who fought in the Mediterranean and faced captivity in Algiers—and the modern era of artificial narratives and AI-driven information. Accompanied by cellist Luca Pincini, Reali aims to use the stage as a critical conscience to examine how official narratives can foster hatred or misplaced affection through political deception.
