Třebíč elects Pavel Pacal as mayor for third term

Following municipal elections, the Třebíč city council has re-elected Pavel Pacal as mayor. Pacal, leader of the Pro Třebíč group, is entering his third term in the position. He has been a member of the city leadership for sixteen years, having previously served as deputy mayor between 2010 and 2018.

A new governing coalition has been formed consisting of Pro Třebíč, ANO 2011, the Christian Democrats (Lidovci), and the Živé město group. This coalition holds fifteen seats in the twenty-seven-member assembly. Miloš Hrůza from ANO 2011 has been appointed as the first deputy mayor.

The leadership transition follows the departure of Pavel Janata, who is retiring from politics after thirty-six years of service in municipal administration and the Senate.
