Tech giants advance AI with new chips, models, and software
The technology sector is seeing significant advancements in artificial intelligence hardware and software. Alibaba has unveiled the Zhenwu V900, which it claims is China’s most powerful AI accelerator. Designed for training and running massive AI models, the chip features 216 GB of memory and is built for extreme scalability, capable of integrating up to 500,000 accelerators into superclusters. Mass production is expected in early 2027.
In the software and consumer space, Google is working toward an accelerated release of its Gemini 4 model to regain competitive ground against rivals like OpenAI and Anthropic. Meanwhile, Microsoft is evolving Copilot into a comprehensive application that integrates conversations, coding, and autonomous agents, such as Autopilot, which can perform tasks independently in the cloud.
Additionally, ASUS has introduced the Googlebook 14, an ultraportable laptop specifically designed for Gemini Intelligence integration, featuring high-performance hardware and extended battery life.
