ASML Grants €20,000 Share Bonus as Record EUV Sales Push Valuation Toward $1 Trillion

Dutch lithography equipment maker ASML announced a one‑time €20,000 share award for each employee, totalling roughly €1 million in bonuses. The company also reported a record second‑quarter, delivering 86 new lithography tools—including 16 extreme‑ultraviolet (EUV) machines—driving net sales to €9.3 billion and net income to €2.9 billion. EUV systems accounted for 57 % of system revenue, underscoring the shift toward AI‑driven chip production.

ASML’s revenue rose to €27.6 billion for 2023, a year‑on‑year increase of over 25 %, while its market capitalisation approached €700 billion, sparking analyst speculation that the firm could become Europe’s first $1‑trillion company. Several banks lifted price targets, and Morgan Stanley reaffirmed an “overweight” rating with a new €1,930 target price. Customers such as TSMC, Intel, Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron continue to expand capacity for advanced AI processors, keeping demand for ASML’s EUV tools robust. The company also raised its 2026 full‑year sales outlook to €43‑45 billion and expects to increase low‑NA EUV capacity by 30 % in 2027.
