SpaceX expands AI infrastructure and enterprise partnerships
SpaceX is aggressively scaling its artificial intelligence infrastructure, targeting 13 gigawatts (GW) of computing capacity by the end of 2027. This target significantly exceeds previous estimates of 2.5–3 GW, driven by surging demand for AI computing power. According to a UBS report, Elon Musk has indicated that demand is strong enough to sell the company's computing capacity multiple times over, with potential capacity reaching 20 GW depending on power availability.
To support this expansion, SpaceX is investing heavily, with guided capital expenditure reaching USD 35 billion to USD 40 billion for the fourth quarter of 2026. The infrastructure could potentially support annual recurring revenue between USD 500 billion and USD 1 trillion by the end of 2027.
In parallel, SpaceX Super Intelligence (xAI) has launched the ‘Super Intelligence Partner Network’ to establish a Grok-centered ecosystem. This initiative includes ‘Transformation Partners’ to assist with internal enterprise implementation and ‘Marketplace Partners’ to develop plugins and integrations. Early-access testing involves over 130 companies, including NVIDIA, Databricks, and Bain & Company. Additionally, Tech Mahindra has partnered with SpaceXSI to integrate AI-powered software engineering and GrokBuild capabilities into enterprise application modernization and development services.
