Tech talent demand shifts toward specialization in Spain

The technological landscape in Spain is undergoing a significant shift as companies move beyond basic digitalization toward strategic integration of advanced technologies. Experts are transitioning from technical specialists to strategic advisors, helping organizations connect tools like artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data analytics with core business objectives.

There is a growing demand for highly specialized profiles. According to Randstad Digital, the most sought-after digital professionals in Spain for 2025 include cybersecurity experts, artificial intelligence specialists, and software architects, followed by full-stack developers and technical leads. Other critical areas include data engineering, DevSecOps, and cloud computing.

Despite a 50% increase in technology-related job offers since February 2020, a significant talent gap persists. More than 60% of Spanish companies report difficulties in finding qualified personnel with the necessary specialized competencies to meet these evolving digital needs.
