Tech updates: Apple iPhone 18, Samsung tablets, and Xiaomi 17T

Recent consumer technology updates in Slovakia highlight new flagship smartphone and tablet releases. Apple's iPhone 18 Pro Max features strong battery life lasting up to two days, though reviewers noted that software performance and the absence of Apple Intelligence in the region may impact its value. The standard iPhone 18 Pro is noted for its A20 Pro chip and innovative variable camera aperture.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S12 series, including Ultra and Plus models, featuring AMOLED displays and Dimensity 9500 chips. Additionally, Samsung Galaxy S26 users in Slovakia have begun receiving the One UI 9 system update based on Android 17.

In the mid-range market, the Xiaomi 17T is positioned as a high-spec alternative to the iPhone 17. Priced significantly lower, the Xiaomi model offers a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, a Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, and a 6,500 mAh battery, alongside a versatile triple-camera system including a periscope telephoto lens.
