Techem announces leadership change with interim Co-CEOs
Techem, the Eschborn-based energy and building services provider, has announced an abrupt leadership transition. CEO Matthias Hartmann and CFO Carsten Sürig are departing the management board. While Hartmann had previously indicated he would not extend his contract beyond spring 2027, the departure of both executives is occurring earlier than originally anticipated.
To manage the transition until permanent successors are appointed, Techem has established an interim dual leadership. Ulrich Schiller, currently CEO of Techem Germany, and Advisory Board member Michael Nilles will serve as interim Co-CEOs. Nicolai Kuß remains in his role overseeing sales and customer management.
The company stated that this restructuring is intended to accelerate its strategic focus on digital energy services, specifically the expansion of smart-metering solutions and AI-driven optimization of building energy management.
