Techint workers strike at Vaca Muerta's Los Toldos site

More than 500 workers from the construction company Techint have paralyzed operations at the Los Toldos site in the Vaca Muerta region. The strike impacts the construction of a future hydrocarbon processing plant for Tecpetrol, a significant development project in the area.

Supported by the UOCRA union, the workers are demanding urgent wage adjustments to counter inflation. The strike includes the blocking of site access and has halted all machinery movement and the delivery of supplies. While preliminary talks have occurred between Techint, Tecpetrol, and union representatives, negotiations remain stalled. Workers have indicated the stoppage may continue indefinitely until a formal salary proposal is presented.
