Techland announces audio collaboration and content plans for Dying Light series

Techland has announced a partnership with Embody to introduce personalized audio technology for Dying Light 2: Stay Human and Dying Light: The Beast. Utilizing Immerse technology and an Enhanced Headphone Mode, the collaboration aims to tailor sound rendering to a player's specific ear shape and headset to improve spatial perception and directional accuracy in environments like Villedor and Castor Woods.

The Immerse Gamepack will be available soon, including a fourteen-day trial period. Specific release dates and compatible platforms are yet to be determined.

Separately, Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka addressed the future of Dying Light: The Beast during a Discord Q&A session. Marchewka stated that the game is a complete, standalone experience and that the studio does not plan to add large-scale new content to it. He noted that while the studio has provided free updates, such as the Restored Land mode, the long-term model of supporting games for five years has not met the studio's expectations. Marchewka explained that maintaining small teams for long-term support on older titles can hinder the development of new AAA projects.
