Technical education and innovation events held across Latin America

Various technical and technological events are taking place across Latin America, focusing on professional training, scientific dissemination, and industrial innovation.

In Paraguay, the National University of Itapúa (UNI) launched the VIII Engineering Expo 2026 and the 6th Academic and Technological Conferences. The event covers civil, electromechanical, informatics, and industrial engineering, featuring participation from students, researchers, and international companies.

In Mexico, the first Veracruz Tech Week is scheduled for November 9–14. The event aims to establish Veracruz as a technological hub through conferences on artificial intelligence and a 24-hour hackathon, with an expected economic impact of up to 28 million pesos.

Other regional developments include the expansion of the Cecap educational center in Durazno, Uruguay, which now features a new Ceibal technology laboratory. In Argentina, the Escuela Industrial de Viedma is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a technical exhibition showcasing robotics and programming projects. Meanwhile, in El Salvador, ITEXSAL initiated its 2026 Cultural Technical Expo with an automotive parade in San Salvador.
