Technical Glitch Delays Opening of New International Discount Store in Kaštel Sućurac

A new outlet of an international discount retailer was scheduled to open at 9 a.m. in the Kaštel Sućurac shopping centre, but the doors remained shut for several hours. Hundreds of shoppers gathered outside, waiting in vain. Staff first cited network and cash‑register issues, then explained that a system transfer from the Netherlands had failed, causing a complete crash of the store’s IT platform. One customer quoted the staff: “Rečeno nam je da su nastali tehnički problemi tijekom prijenosa sustava iz Nizozemske te da je pao cijeli sustav.” The retailer later warned that the store might not open at all that day.
