Technik Museum Speyer hosts science fiction and cosplay event

The Technik Museum in Speyer, Germany, hosted a large-scale science fiction and cosplay event this weekend, drawing approximately 7,500 visitors on Saturday alone.

Attendees dressed as characters from various franchises, including Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, DC, and various anime and manga series. The crowd included a diverse range of participants, from dedicated fans to families with children in full costume.

The event featured various activities, including autograph sessions with voice actors, such as the German dubbing artists for Luke and Anakin Skywalker. Organizers described the gathering as a “nerd folk festival” that attracts a broad demographic beyond just hardcore science fiction enthusiasts.
