Technip Energies, Honeywell, and Siemens launch SnapLNG 1.5
Technip Energies, Honeywell Technologies, and Siemens Energy have launched SnapLNG 1.5, a standardized, fully modular, and electrified liquefied natural gas (LNG) production solution. Announced at Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, the solution is built around a 1.5 million metric ton-per-year (tpy) train.
Technip Energies will commercialize the product, utilizing its project execution and modularization expertise. Honeywell Technologies provides gas pretreatment, liquefaction, and automation technologies, while Siemens Energy contributes electrified turbomachinery and compression solutions. The design allows project owners to replicate the base unit for larger developments, offering a scalable approach to capacity expansion.
The partnership aims to address rising global LNG demand, which could require over 200 million tpy of new capacity by 2035. By utilizing offsite fabrication and electric motor-driven technology, the solution is designed to shorten project schedules by up to two years, improve execution certainty, and reduce operational emissions.
