Technip Energies Secures Full Go‑Ahead for $13 bn Commonwealth LNG Project in Louisiana

Technip Energies announced that it has received a final authorization and Full Notice To Proceed for a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract with Commonwealth LNG, a subsidiary of the US‑based Caturus Group. The contract covers the design, supply and construction of six liquefaction trains with a total annual capacity of 9.5 million tonnes of LNG at a facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

The $13 billion project, slated to start production in 2030, will export liquefied natural gas to global markets. Funding comes from Abu Dhabi’s sovereign fund Mubadala Energy, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and international investors such as BlackRock, Kimmeridge and EOC Partners. Technip Energies classifies the contract as a “major” project, worth more than €1 billion, and will record it in its Q2 2026 results.
