In Sweden, pediatric oncology has already adopted whole-genome sequencing as routine care for children with cancer since 2024, with results potentially altering diagnoses or identifying targeted therapies in approximately 50 percent of cases. To manage risks, experts suggest utilizing conditional reimbursement and outcome-based agreements to ensure clinical benefits are realized.
