Technology and AI experts discuss economic development in Venezuela and Ecuador

Experts and analysts are discussing the critical role of technology and artificial intelligence in driving economic competitiveness and development in Venezuela and Ecuador.

At a MoDo Talk event in Caracas, industry leaders emphasized that technological adoption is no longer optional but a fundamental pillar for businesses and institutions in Venezuela. Participants highlighted the urgent need to democratize technology access and prepare younger generations for the global labor market. José Ángel Balza of Kurios Education noted that technology should serve as a social and economic catalyst to build national talent.

In Quito, digital economy analyst Marc Vidal addressed the rapid pace of innovation, advising Ecuador to focus on optimizing processes through AI rather than attempting to replicate Silicon Valley. Vidal argued that while the speed of innovation is unprecedented, the core elements of business—customer, processes, business models, and the human factor—remain constant. He stressed the importance of being prepared for future tools rather than mastering specific technologies in advance.
