Technology awards 2026 open for smartphone and gadget voting

Voting is underway for the 2026 technology awards hosted by El Grupo Informático and Xataka Verisure. These ceremonies aim to identify the best consumer technology of the year across various categories, including smartphones, wearables, and audio equipment.

El Grupo Informático is holding its seventh edition, featuring 30 categories. Readers participate by voting for finalists, which are then evaluated by editorial experts. The event includes a giveaway of over 5,000 € in gadgets, such as smartphones, smartwatches, and software licenses. The awards gala will take place in Madrid to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the organization.

Xataka Verisure's awards focus heavily on mobile telephony, offering five distinct categories. These range from devices with the best value-for-money to next-generation foldable phones. The premium mobile category features nominees such as the Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, among others.
